BITEC (Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre) announces significant achievements in its sustainable waste management program “We Draw The Future Together,” marking its third consecutive year of environmental impact. In collaboration with SCGP, GCYOUTURN, and Wake Up Waste, the initiative has demonstrated remarkable success in transforming exhibition and conference waste into valuable resources.
The program has successfully recycled over 62,808 kilograms of waste materials in 2024, encompassing:
- 51,146 kilograms of paper
- 5,735 kilograms of PET plastic
- 5,928 kilograms of aluminum

These recycling efforts have yielded substantial environmental benefits:
- Preservation of 5,653 trees
- Reduction of 116,497 kilograms in CO₂ emissions
- Savings of 109,174 liters in fuel consumption
- Decrease of 667,707 kilowatt-hours in energy consumption

The initiative emphasizes the recycling of materials from both event setup and visitor activities, ensuring maximum resource recovery and utilization. This comprehensive approach has positioned BITEC as a leader in sustainable venue management within Thailand’s MICE industry.
