BITEC has officially implemented the Realtime Carbon Emission Platform by AltoTech, a cutting-edge system that monitors, tracks, and displays real-time carbon emissions generated by activities within events.
This platform is the result of a close collaboration between BITEC and AltoTech, a leading technology company specializing in energy and environmental solutions. The development began in November 2024, and as of today, BITEC has successfully launched and operationalized the platform.
Driving Innovation for Sustainability in the MICE Industry
The Realtime Carbon Emission Platform enables event organisers to monitor carbon emissions in real time, categorized by different sources of energy consumption such as electricity, air conditioning, and equipment connected to BITEC’s systems. The collected data provides insights that allow organisers to analyze, plan, and manage emissions with precision, marking a significant milestone towards achieving Carbon Neutral Events.
First Live Implementation at ProPak Asia 2025
The platform is officially being utilized for the first time at ProPak Asia 2025, taking place from 11–14 June 2025. As one of Asia’s largest international exhibitions for processing and packaging, ProPak Asia 2025 exemplifies sustainable event practices through effective carbon management.
The use of this platform during ProPak Asia 2025 not only highlights BITEC’s technological readiness but also reflects the shared vision and strong collaboration between BITEC and its partners in elevating Thailand’s MICE industry to global standards of sustainability.
Expanding to All Future Events
BITEC plans to expand the use of the Realtime Carbon Emission Platform to cover all types of future events—from exhibitions and conferences to concerts and special events. The goal is to ensure that every event held at BITEC adheres to transparent, measurable, and verifiable carbon management practices.
